DAY 7 – “MINDFUL” BREATHING

Anxiety almost always includes rapid breathing and an increase in heart rate. Other anxiety symptoms include restlessness, inability to concentrate, and sleep problems. I notice in myself I will hold my breath. This will in return increase my anxiety. I have to work on consciously breathing during stressful times. To stay cognizant of my breathing and heart rate I purchased a IWATCH. This has been a useful tool for me.

Calming the breath is the key to calming the mind. Try one of these tips. You can even practice while creating your next knitting or crafting project.
